Goodnight, Mrs Mike, Wherever You Are
A eulogy is rarely ever focused on the missing person; the eulogy usually concerns the interface between that person and the eulogist. In that way, eulogies are essentially autobiographical.

Everybody dies.
The trek by which I ended up alone with my mother-in-law in Amsterdam, New York, on the last full day of her life was a circuitous one. And one has to work through circuitry backwards from the point you begin. One has to work in circles, circuitously, circling, finally cinching it all tight.
Follow the humming.
Nancy texted me at work from Los Angeles that day: "FYI Dad says Mom is getting worse and that don't expect her to last long. Might be gone by the weekend but who knows. Dad says no services or anything.
